SkinMedica Research & Development
For this project, I directed a three-part video series for SkinMedica that brought their iconic products, proprietary technology, and mission to life through a consumer-friendly narrative. I guided the film crew and talent on set, storyboarded both long- and short-form variations, and developed the lighting direction to match the brand’s clean and clinical aesthetic.
I also worked closely with the post-production editor to shape interviews with the Vice President, Clinical Esthetician, Product Development Team, and R&D Scientists into an engaging story that connected expertise with accessibility.
The series was originally created for internal use across departments, but its consumer-friendly style allowed us to repurpose it into shorter reels for organic social.
SkinMedica Icons highlighted interviews with specialists from the R&D team, filmed using a two-camera setup and produced as a series of three-minute videos.
Organic social posts were cut down to 30 second reels, with each specialist spotlighted to highlight a product launch, share their favorite product, or speak to the company’s innovative mission.
This series was integrated across their social channels and performed strongly thanks to its consumer-friendly approach.
